Fundadores De Fe Group's story

This communal bank is called “Fundadores de FE” and is made up of 18 entrepreneurs who work in tourism areas such as hospitality, food, arts and crafts, and other things. All of them live in Pucón.

Yesica Soto, who is standing to the left in the photograph, wearing a Mexican hat, offers birthday party services. She rents an establishment downtown where she makes piñatas, crowns, and decorations. She also sells toys from the same location. She’s been doing this for a year and a half and has events every weekend in the fall and summer.

Yesica used her loan to pay for labor and supplies to make party favors.

She also tells us that working with Fondo Esperanza has been a great help. What she likes the most are the courses she took and that she receives help and encouragement. Pucón is a community in southern Chile, located in the La Araucanía region. It’s a small town and has all the basic services and tourism. It’s one of the main mountainous centers in the area and a main tourist center in the region, along with Villarrica. During the summer months they host various cultural, art, and sporting events. There are also many ecotourism, adventure tourism, and ethnic tourism.
