She joined this year in order to gain access to hybrid seed and fertilizer and use increased profits to send her children to school.

Jamila managed to harvest 0.75 bags of maize on 1 acre of land last year. As a One Acre Fund farmer, she hopes to harvest even more! She plans on using future profits from the harvest to send her children to school and to repair her home. During the 2013 Long Rains season, each group member will receive ½ an acre of agricultural inputs on credit. Jamila’s group will receive 7 acres' worth of inputs on credit.
