Desarrollo Comunitaria 1, 2, 3 & 5 Group's story

Apolonia is the coordinator of her group, Desarrollo Comunitario (Community Development). Her group is located in the lush, rugged Samana peninsula, an area with a tourism industry. She makes her home here in a simple structure with her long-term partner and three children.

Apolonia is excited to be taking her 16th loan with Kiva partner, Esperanza, after having successfully repaid her previous loan and grown her business. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business selling clothing by purchasing bedding set, shirts, pants, skirts and bracelets in the capital and then selling them at profit in her community. Apolonia will use her profits to invest in remodeling her home as well as purchasing school supplies for her children. She thanks you all for your support.

In this group: Apolonia, Jackeline, Gregoria, Teresa, Judyds, Melania, Sita, Toribia, Belgica, Elizabeth, Alberto, Petra, Dominga, Emilia, Amada, Isabel, Juana, Idelsa, Francisca, Isairis
