Madame Yawavi A. is 29 years old, married with two children. She grows vegetables in a small village close to Adéta, a village about 150 kilometers from Lomé, the capital of Togo. In particular she specializes in cultivating eggplant (the vegetables shown in the photo). She has difficulty providing for the needs of her family as land suitable for cultivation is becoming more and more scarce and less fertile. With this loan, her second from FECECAV, Yawavi wants to buy equipment and lease more land suitable for cultivation in order to increase her production. As a result of the profit she will make, she will be able to improve her family's standard of living.
