Ekua's story

Ekua is married and has four children. She has received schooling through primary school level. Ekua sells plantain chips in Effia Kumah near Takoradi, which she has done for the last 10 years. Her husband is a driver in the area.

Ekua uses her income to assist her husband in paying the family's general expenses. Ekua will use the loan to purchase more plantains, oil and other supplies necessary to make plantain chips. With the new profits from her expanded business, Ekua plans to grow her plantain chip trade.
