A loan of $2,100 helped to buy cattle.

Ahmad's story

Ahmad is an elderly man. He is married and has children. All his life, Ahmad has been raising livestock, as in his youth he did not attend school and thus did not receive any education. However, he loves his business and earns a good living from it. Two of Ahmad's sons have gone to Russia to find jobs and now send their parents some money whenever possible.

Last year, there was a drought and Ahmad was forced to buy animal fodder at high prices. Now, he would like to buy several cows and thus increase the size of his herd. Despite his age, Ahmad runs his business on his own and personally takes his cattle to the market to sell it. He is unable to sit still, is always doing something, and is glad to be occupied with his favourite work. Ahmad is planning to use this loan to buy cattle and animal feed. He will fatten the animals and then sell them in the spring, when livestock prices go up. Ahmad thanks MDO Arvand for their financial support and help.
