Gertrude is married with two children and both her children go to school. She has a business selling green bananas and has been in this business for four years. She has applied for a loan of 400,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bunches of green bananas. She works at the market seven days a week.
Gertrude's major business challenges include seasonality and ever increasing prices of green bananas. She is aspiring of becoming a wholesaler and also to buy a plot of land and build her own house. She resides in a rented house and the family has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her monthly expenses includes school fees and rent.
