A loan of $7,000 helped a member to purchase seedlings and fertilizer and to pay for technical trainings and tree farm maintenance support.

Daniel's Group's story

Daniel is a maize and vegetable farmer who also runs a kiosk. He is a married father of five and his wife practices farming too. Daniel's major challenge with his current kiosk business is not having enough capital to purchase the goods that are demanded by customers, meaning he is missing out on sales opportunities. Daniel looks forward to being a KOMAZA tree farmer because he "appreciates tree planting and conserving the environment." With the money he will get from his KOMAZA farm, he says he is "looking forward to expanding my business and building a modern house." Daniel optimistically states, "With the trees, I can see a bright tomorrow."
