A loan of $1,500 helped prepare land for growing corn and purchase agrochemicals.

Marina's story

Marina is 32 years old and lives with her husband. They have three children who are dependent on them, two of whom are studying in school, one in first grade, the other in third. Her last son is still a baby who needs a lot of her care. Currently, she is planting corn, raising and selling free-range chickens, and on Saturdays, she earns money on farms plucking chickens. Marina’s daily life is selfless and exhausting because she has several activities she must attend to. The income she earns is not enough to cover the costs of feeding her family. For this reason, she decided to ask for a loan in order to increase her corn harvest and take advantage of available land. With this investment, she wants to improve her income which will allow her to improve her and her family’s quality of life.
