A loan of $575 helped to buy an industrial blender.

Evelina Luz's story

"Opportunities are not meant to be contemplated from far away, on the horizon but rather when one presents itself you should jump on it and take a risk." With those words, 32 year old Evelina, starts the story of how she started her micro enterprise. She tells us that she was living in Cartagena, Colombia. There she learned how to process fruits and vegetables and decided to start her own business. Later she had the chance to move to Medellin, where there was more opportunity to grow her business. She took the risk and is very happy because everything is going well, thank God.

Evelina's biggest goal is to increase her production capacity because her product is very attractive in her sector. For this reason, she is requesting a loan to purchase an industrial blender that will allow her to improve her efficiency and the quality of the product. Evelina wants to increase her sales and provide a better life and a good education to her two children, ages 3 and 5.
