A loan of $1,025 helped to buy potato seeds, prepare the land, and buy pumps for spraying the crops.

Maria's story

Maria is a tenacious woman and mother who has a strong desire to make progress along with her husband and their 4 children. The family works in agriculture, cultivating vegetables on a small scale such as potatoes, cauliflower, and lettuce. Maria has been farming for more than 25 years. Her parents taught her how to cultivate vegetables. Maria's fields are located 500 meters from her home, making it easy for her to constantly monitor them, as these are crops that require quite a bit of care.

Maria has a third grade education, but with a lot of hard work and sacrifice she has been able to help one of her children, who is now preparing to become an elementary school teacher. The family all works the land in their free time or during vacations, because it is their only source of income.

At this time, Maria is requesting a loan to buy potato seeds and prepare the land, and also to buy 2 pumps to spray the crops.

Maria dreams of being able to continue to provide her children with a better education so that they can have a better quality of life, better job opportunities, and more income, as this is the only reward that she hopes to get through the daily efforts she makes along with her husband.
