Currently, he loves in the western part of the city, approximately 7 kilometers from the city of Cochabamba. The house where he lives doesn’t belong to him; he rents it with his wife.

They have one dependent son, and the current loan will be used to refurbish the home that he has in the country and a roof for a shed for his cows, which by now is worn out from the passage of time and the moisture from the constant rain. The home needs comparable maintenance.

Nelson is very glad to be able to have this opportunity.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
