A loan of $1,375 helped to buy chicken meat for her business.

Silvia's story

Silvia is 40 years old, she lives with her two children, David and Jack, and they live together in their own home. Silvia is an admirable woman, she had to educate and raise her children on her own. To do so, she works tirelessly in her town market where she sells chopped chicken meat, per kilo, and empanadas. She has been working in this field for four hours and is well-known by her customers who know that she sells quality meat. In the afternoon, she works in the store, a business that she opened one year ago, selling meat, vegetable soup, milk and other products. As if that were not enough, Silvia also rears cattle, pigs, guinea pigs, chicken and turkeys which she sells when they are fattened up.

Silvia is also investing her land with a business partner in order to produce bricks - she provides the land and her business partner provides the clay and soil to form the bricks. She obtains solid profits every month which are used to cover the household costs and those of her children. She belongs to the "Los Emprendedores" communal bank and this is the 15th loan with MFP, which is why she is grateful for its support which will help her to achieve her objectives. Silvia will invest the money requested in the purchase of chicken meal for her business as well as basic goods for her store.
