A loan of $1,450 helped to buy seeds, fertilizers, and agrochemicals.

Marcelina's story

Marcelina is 46 years old. Her family consists of three members: the mother and two children. It is a humble family of limited financial resources. They live in the community of Tako Tako Alto in the Mizque municipality of the Cochabamba region. She works in agriculture and with livestock. She grows potatoes, beans, and onions. She sells them in the same place where the traders live in Mizque. Marcelina is a very respected person in her community because of her work and being responsible for the feeding and educating of her family. They have a home with adobe walls, a thatched roof, and earth plaster. With this type of home, one must make the plaster every year before the rains. Marcelina is requesting this loan to buy more seeds, fertilizers, and agrochemicals to have a better harvest, and in this way, improve the standard of living for her whole family.
