A loan of $275 helped to buy corn, beans, meats, bread, dairy products, chicken, soft drinks, sugar, rice, beans, and salsas, etc.

Elda Ely's story

Elda, age 37, lives in the southern region of Honduras. She lives with her husband, and he supports her in each of her activities. Her business is selling general groceries, which she has been doing for ten years in the community where she lives.

Her business is in a strategic location where there are a lot of people passing by because it is located on a main street. This makes her business very busy.

She needs the loan to buy corn, beans, meats, bread, dairy products, chicken, soft drinks, sugar, rice, beans, and salsas, etc.

The impact that Elda hopes for from the loan is for her sales to grow because she will buy a much greater variety of products. This way she will meet the needs of each one of her customers, who start visiting her business very early.

Elda’s future plan is to keep growing in her business and to be one of the best in the community. At the same time she plans to have a better quality of life with her family.
