Diana's story

Diana, 40, is a hard-working woman who lives with Dedmer, 49, the father of her two minor children, Jimena, 15, and Herber, 7. She does all she can to give them a good quality of life; and they all live together in their own house. Diana sells food such as "juanes", rice and chicken wrapped in banana leaves, roasts, snacks, etc. Every morning she sets up a table out in front of her parents' house where she sells her food. She is very kind to her customers who are loyal to her.

She began her business over two years ago with a private loan, and bought and sold in small quantities. Later, she increased her volume to meet demand, but still works alone.

She believes her business is quite profitable as she ends up selling almost everything she puts up for sale. This is her fourth loan through MFP and she is very grateful for this financial support which is sure to help her get ahead in her business. She is committed to paying back the loan on time, as with previous loans. She plans to use the 1,800 PEN to buy ingredients such as rice, eggs, fish, etc., to prepare the food she sells. She aims to look for the best prices whe doing her shopping so she can continue her work and increase her income.
