Nadia's story

Ms Nadia is a 31-year-old married woman and the mother of three children. She had a difficult time after her husband's business failed, so she decided to work to support her family for a better future. Two years ago, she began to work on hand-embroidery in her house. She works for the people living around her house and uses the income to support her entire family. However, due to lack of availability of funds, she is unable to meet the daily demands of her customers. For this reason, she contacted Kashf Foundation and applied for a loan of Rs 25,000. She intends to use this loan to buy raw material including cloths and threads of different colors and packs of sequins, pearls and glittery material to create a means of increasing revenues and generate a healthier source of income. She is currently in her second loan cycle with a good repayment history. She wishes to spend part of the income on the betterment of her family members.
