Ms Humaria is a 22-year-old single lady. In order to contribute to the family income, she started her own hand embroidery business with her brother. The man shown in the photo is Humaria’s brother who assists her in completing customers’ orders on time. Humaria has gained three years of experience in this field and has attained a regular list of customers. She makes unique embroidery patterns for the people living around her house and uses the income to support her entire family. However, due to lack of availability of funds, she is unable to meet the daily demands of her customers. For this reason, she contacted Kashf Foundation and applied for a loan of Rs 15,000. She intends to use this loan to buy raw materials including cloths and threads of different colors plus packs of sequins, pearls and glittery material to create a means of increasing revenues so she may be able to generate a healthier source of income. She wishes to spend part of her income on the betterment of her family members.
