A loan of $750 helped to buy more plastic items to sell.

Wilbroad's story

Wilbroad is 35 years old and lives in the town of Kyenjojo in the Mubende region of Uganda. He is married and has 5 children, 4 of whom are currently in school. For the past 5 years, Wilbroad has been working hard to manage his retail store, which sells eggs and plastic items.

To help expand his business, Wilbroad has requested a loan of 2,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more plastic items that will increase his sales, helping Wilbroad to generate greater profits and pay his children's school fees. Wilbroad hopes that in the future he will be able to to have a well stocked and established store.

Wilbroad is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Wilbroad who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
