A loan of $1,500 helped to buy spare parts for his motorcycle workshop, such as chains, ball bearings, helmets and lubricants.

Leonel Alonso's story

Leonel, 43, is originally from León. He is married and has three children who are 13, 17 and 20 years old. Leonel is a salesman; he has had a store where he sells spare parts for motorcycles for more than five years. He started this business when he was 38, with his own savings from his previous job. He collected the money with a lot of effort and sacrifice. He opened a spare parts store/workshop and he feels happy with the profits he makes. He has loyal customers and his children help him.

He plans to expand his business. For this reason, Leonel is requesting a loan to buy chains, tires, rings, ball bearings, inner tubes, light bulbs for motorcycle, helmets, lubricants, etc. He believes this loan will help him to invest more in his business, since he can now buy all the spare parts he has run out of and thus offer his customers a better service. His plans for the future are to make some improvements to his workshop. From a short-term perspective, he aims to pay this loan and request a new one.
