Saher Group's story

Saher Group consists of four women from Taiz, Yemen. They applied for a loan of 120,000 Yemeni rials (YER) to buy home appliances. Saher, a 29-year-old single woman, lives with her family in the city of Taiz and is the leader of the group. She is a secondary school graduate. Because of their financial problems, she couldn’t complete her education and join university. She had a sewing training course from one of the charities beside her house. Saher wants to start up a business. She wants to be a seamstress, but she doesn’t have a sewing machine; therefore, she asked for a loan of 30,000 YER. She hopes that this business will make good profit to improve her family's living conditions.
