Auguste lives in Chantal, in the South Department of Haiti. He has had a grocery store for 17 years that sells food supplies. He has recently decided to start selling EarthSpark clean energy products to expand his current business.
With a Kiva loan, Auguste will be set up with a “Business in a Bag”, a kit containing a personalized mix of small-scale clean energy products, marketing materials and training on energy literacy, SMS tracking of sales, and basic business skills. Auguste would like to sell solar energy desk lamps with mobile phone charging capability. He wants to sell clean energy products because he needs to grow up his grocery in such a way that he could earn more money to help his family.
