Giselle De Los Angeles's story

Giselle de los Ángeles is 33 years old, married, and has two young children (ages 7 and 1). She is originally from Managua, a place that is located in the central part of the region. In her free time, she enjoys listing to music and preparing traditional dishes for her children, such as Nicaraguan rice and beans. Unfortunately, due to the lack of financial resources, she was not able to finish her university degree. She would have liked to become a teacher.

Thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit and her drive to succeed, Giselle has been earning her living by selling cosmetics. She has been doing this for the past 10 years at one of the local markets in the region. Her routine consists of working approximately 10 hours each day by offering products such as compacts, pressed powders, eye shadows, lip pencils, facial crèmes, perfumes, blush, and eye liner.

Giselle is grateful for the assistance that the Kiva lenders provide to people who have limited resources and are from poor countries, such as Nicaragua, so that they can make a decent living.
