A loan of $3,000 helped to pay for 20 colonies of bees and cover transportation costs of her fruit/vegetable harvests to market.

Margarit's story

Margarit is from Aghitu village in the Syunik region. She lives with her husband and is involved in agriculture. She keeps 15 chickens, cultivates potatoes, wheat and grows nut, apple and pear trees. Together with her husband, Margarit works hard to gather a good harvest and have a high income. But unfortunately her income is enough for covering only the family's basic needs. It is very difficult for Margarit to save money for transportation of the harvested products to the local market. She has applied for this loan to pay for transportation costs. This will enable her to take her harvested products to the local market, sell it and gather high income.
As agriculture is the only source of income for Margarit and her husband, she would like to expand that business. The other part of the loan Margarit will spend on purchasing 20 colonies of bees. This will enable her to gather honey and sell it.
The loan is very important for Margarit and her husband to make their life better.
