A loan of $450 helped to buy a cow.

Fermin's story

Fermín is 52 years old. As he has cows he makes and sells cheese. He lives in Huanocollo. The townspeople there work in agriculture and livestock. This loan is his first cycle in the institution. Fermín will use this loan to buy a dairy cow and he would like to make the most of this opportunity.

His reason for requesting this loan is because he has no money to make this purchase. This purchase will be of great benefit to him as the cow will provide a good quantity of milk. In this way he can make more cheese and improve his income. Fermín faces challenges in his business such as purchasing fodder which he has to do from time to time. He will use the money to improve his herd. He would like to be able to make cheese to sell wholesale and to supply the different markets in La Paz city.
