Mani Nageswari Shg Group's story

In 2009 a group of nine women came together from a small village in Odisha and formed Mani Nageswari SHG. Puspanjali was selected as the leader of Mani Nageswari SHG. The lady sitting in the second position from right side of the photograph is Puspanjali.

Puspanjali is 32 years old, married, and living with her husband, one daughter and one son. She has been involved in a milk business for two years. She has one cow and she wants to purchase one more cow because the demand for milk is high and she is not able to supply the growing demand of the customers in the market.

She has applied for a loan to purchase a cow and fodder and also wants to repair her cattle shed. This business will help her to support her children's education. She says that this loan can help to increase her income, which will help her to purchase the study materials for her children's education and to pay her children's tuition fee.
