Mamie, 40 years old, lives in West Point, one of the most populated and well-known markets in Montserrado county. She has 5 children between the ages of 5 and 15 years old. For the past three years, she has been running a shop in the local market where she sells lappa (fabric). She enjoys the interaction with her customers and the profit she makes daily to provide money for her expenses makes her proud of her business. A problem she faces is that prices are too high since she has to buy in USD and sell in LRD. She is requesting a loan to purchase more lappa for her business.
