Kulumbu's story

Kulumbu is 52 years old and has 2 sons. Kulumbu's children are adults and finished school, both sons help her with her holdings. Kulumbu has many years of experience in raising livestock. Kulumbu has a small farm with 1 cow, 1 horse, 1 calf, 26 sheep and 31 goats. Everyday Kulumbu sells milk to dairy product manufacturers and mostly raises and sells livestock, which brings her around 17,000 som (KGS) per month. In order to further grow her business, Kulumbu turned to "Bai-Tushum & Partners" for a loan of 40,000 som (KGS) to purchase milk cows. Kulumbu plans to use the profits from the loan to further expand her holdings.
