A loan of $750 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages to add to her inventory.

Cherryl's story

This is Cherryl. Her previous loan was a big help in her business. She has been working in her general store for four years now. She also has an electronic loading business. She and her husband are working hard to provide income for their family.

She would like to apply for another loan, 30,000 PHP, to buy grocery items, toiletries, beverages, and other products to add to her inventory. The more items displayed at the store the better. Having more items to sell will result in a better profit. Cherryl's profits from the business will definitely help sustain her family’s daily needs and meet her children’s education expenses. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Cherryl dreams of one big happy family and hopes to expand her business. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week and draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God that she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
