A loan of $1,250 helped to pay for more fabric, needles, and other materials needed in her business.

Merlyn's story

This is Merlyn. She previously accessed an 50,000 PHP loan that she used to purchase quantities of fabric, thread and other materials needed in her business. Her earnings were a big help for the education of her children and in their personal, household and business expenditures. She has been in this business for nine years now and it is continuously growing. She is working hard to provide income for her family.

She would like to apply for another 50,000 PHP loan to buy additional supplies of fabric, needles, and other materials needed in her business. Her profits from the business will definitely help her to sustain her daily needs and her children’s education. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Merlyn dreams to give her children a good and quality education and hopes that her business will expand. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her life and business every week. It is where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and the word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
