Sambor's Group's story

Sambor lives in a rural village of the Kror Kor District of Pursat Province, Cambodia. Sambor is 26 years old and married with two children. To support her family, she has been working as a rice farmer on one hectare of farmland for more than five years. Her husband makes palm juice to generate more income. Her current business earns about 10,000 riels (KHR) per day and she can afford to save 5,000 KHR each day after expenses. Sambor’s group consists of two members who live in the same village. Sambor is in her first cycle with VisionFund. She is leading her group to request a loan. Sambor will use her portion to buy fertilizer for her farmland. She hopes to earn more income from her rice paddy so as to make a better living.
