A loan of $500 helped to buy stock merchandise for his store and to repair his polisher.

José Alfredo's story

José, 30, is married and has three children who are 14, 12 and 4 years old respectively. For the last 8 years he’s been working on metal structures; his father taught him. His wife opened a grocery store at home about two years ago and sells ‘pupusas’ [filled, grilled corncakes] on Sundays and washes football players’ uniforms.

The loan he’s asking Fundación Campo for is to buy stock merchandise for the store and to repair a polisher he needs for work. With this investment he’ll stock the store since they currently have little stock available to offer customers and demand is high and they can’t meet it. Later on, José would like to buy another soldering machine.
