A loan of $600 helped to buy more natural products and tree trunks.

Roberto's story

Roberto, 69, is a nice, hardworking man married to Emma, 63; they had five children they raised to independent adulthood and always sought the best for. He lives alongside his wife in his own house where he works every day to be able to improve their living conditions.

Roberto’s work consists in selling natural remedies. He works with an international firm that supplies novel, good products that have curative properties and are designed to be consumed by people of all ages. He also sells firewood. He buys tree trunks to cut into pieces to be sold. His family members help him by going out daily into the streets to sell his product. He’s been doing this for two years and it gives him peace of mind and comfort. He used to work as a welder but in time the bright light damaged his sight to such an extent that there was a time when he couldn't see anything at all. Since he’s always been a persevering, strong man he did everything possible to recover and now he’s much better and has a new way of earning a livelihood.

He does well in his work. Thanks to all his efforts he’s managed to acquire a good number of customers that leads to good sales and improved income. He wants to continue working and increase the quantity of products because his customer base grows more every day.

This will be MFP loan #4 and he’s very happy to know that he’ll be able to rely on financial support because he’ll feel more confident about making business progress. On the other hand, he commits to once again make his payments punctually because he does not want to disappoint his group which is very punctual. He will use the requested 1,500 soles to buy natural products and tree trunks since he already has many pending orders from various restaurants that serve traditional, regional dishes.
