Godfrey is a 45 year old man and his primary source of income is the coffee trade. His shamba (small farm or plot of land) sits on over 5 acres. He has requested a loan of 1,000,000 Ugandan shillings to purchase manure for his coffee shamba. His yields had dropped and he was advised to apply manure and fertilizers to the land in his plantation. Godfrey hopes to buy more coffee trees from the neighbors for next season's coffee harvest. He also plans to plant eucalyptus trees on an additional 2 acre piece of land.
