A loan of $850 helped to buy tools and spare parts.

Betsy Adelaida's story

The “30 de Agosto” communal bank meets in the Picoaza parish of the city of Portoviejo, a place known as being a very commercial zone, for its traditional San Pedro and San Pablo festivals, and for the happiness of its people.

Betsy lives here. She is 22 years old, is married and has two children, ages 5 and 1. The older attends school and her husband works as an automotive mechanic.

Betsy is a very good mother and wife and is asking for this loan to help her husband so that he can use it in his work. He has an auto shop where he does all kinds of repairs for cars and motorcycles. She also sells all types of clothing in her spare time, but she is currently not selling because she is a little sick. This is the reason this loan will only be for her husband, which he will use to buy tools and certain spare parts that he will use on the job.

She has been with the communal bank for five cycles and she likes it because the loans are easy to get and the interest rates are low.

Her dream, like that of all mothers, is to provide the best for her children.
