A loan of $800 helped to buy organic fertilizer to maintain the quality of his plants.

Alejandro's story

Alejandro, 41 years old, is a serious, hardworking and single man. He lives with his mother, Daria, and his 3 younger siblings, whom he cares for in the house he bought 8 years ago. His father passed away 30 years ago, and since then he has had to take care of his family, helping his mother with household expenses.

His primary economic activity is in agriculture. Sowing potatoes, corn, peas, and broad beans is his primary activity. He likes taking care of his fields a lot and keeping them very clean, since in this way, he can improve his economic earnings. "The better the quality of the food, the better price you get," he comments happily.

He also says that he has animals: a cow, a calf, pigs and sheep, which he cares for in his stable. When they grow, he sells them to butchers who visits him at his home.

Now he wants to increase his earnings in order to be able to improve his quality of life and that of his family. He belongs to the solidarity group "Huaribamba," and this is his 8th loan with MFP, where he feels happy. He hopes to get the loan in order to continue sowing, and promises to be punctual with his repayments.

Alejandro will invest the money in the purchase of organic fertilizer in order to maintain the quality of his plants.
