A loan of $800 helped to buy trees.

Victor's story

Victor is 24 years old. He is single and responsible and lives with his mother, Bernardina, and his brother Ruben at his mother’s house where he has lived since he was born. Despite his young age he worked hard to have what he now has, productive land, five medium parcels, a motorcycle, and a TV. His main business is agriculture and he raises potatoes and corn and cares for them with enthusiasm. His main income generator is firewood which is where he gets most of his earnings. He tells us that he sells an average of 20 thousand in two weeks. This business varies because it depends on the season. “During this winter season I can buy the trees at better prices and wait for the summer to be able to sell the firewood at a good price.” He also wants to attend school even though he has no possibility of doing so. He lives too far from the city and wants to save enough over time so that he can achieve his objective. He is a member of the “Santa Rosa” group and this is its third cycle with MFP. He is certain that he will be able to solidify his plans with the help of this loan. He also promises to repay on time as he did with his previous loan.

Victor will use the money from this loan to buy 40 trees to make firewood. They are less expensive during the winter season.
