Fatim's Group's story

This group was created during the first cycle of the local village loan fund and comprises women who come from the same area and are united by good social and professional relations. The featured borrower Ngoné is a married woman. She is 50 years old and has three children, all of whom are girls. She is sitting all the way on the left in the photo, in the multicoloured dress. Ngoné runs a business selling fish. Her new loan of 65,000 FCFA will allow her to pay for baskets of fish that she is going to sell at retail in her area. She has good experience in this field, having been active for a long time. The profits earned allow her to take care of the nutritional, educational, and health needs of her children.

In this group: Fatim, Madjiguene, Bayang, Rosalie Aissatou, Maty*, Mareme, Yacine, Aida, Ngone, Thiorro, Codou, Amy, Gass, Naar, Maimouna, Soda, Astou
