Katoi's Group's story

Katoi is a 37-year-old husband and father of six. Katoi buys and sells livestock at the local market for a living, but faces the challenges of not having much capital to invest in his business and the poor market during the dry season. He joined KOMAZA to earn more capital to invest in his business, as well as to have money for educating his children. With the proceeds from his new tree farming business, Katoi aspires to build a rental house in the local town of Bamba to generate income. He was drawn to the KOMAZA program for a number of reasons: to earn the profit from his tree farm, to improve the environment and for the ease of working with the KOMAZA staff.
