Samson is a single gentleman, aged 24 years. Samson runs a small-scale farming business in Ewalel village, where he keeps chickens as well as growing crops. He has been in this business for the last three years.
Samson has borrowed a second loan of 6,000 KES (Kenyan shillings). With this loan, he intends to use the whole amount to purchase farm inputs in preparation for the next planting season. From this business, he gets an average income of 3,000 KES a month.
With the anticipated profits, he intends to expand his business by starting a dairy farming business to diversify his sources of income. He will also pay school fees for his siblings who are still young.
