Francis's story

Francis is a widower and a resident of Rugarama, a village in Mbarara. His wife died 10 years ago of cancer and left him with 6 daughters and 4 sons and all of them go to school. Because of the love for his children he didn’t marry again but instead has dedicated himself to banana (plantain) farming to meet his day to day needs and also for the school fees for his children. Due to his hardworking spirit he has managed to educate his 3 daughters up to the secondary school level. He wants a loan of 2,600,000 to pay school fees for the children and the balance will be used to add manure to his banana plantation.
