Elsa Janeth's story

The “San Pedro De Pueblo Nuevo” communal bank meets every fifteen days in Pueblo Nuevo Parish in Santa Ana Canton, a place of honest people who are dedicated to working in the fields and in animal husbandry; it has beautiful scenery and kind people.

Elsa, 24, lives here. She’s in a free union and has a five-year-old son who attends school. Her husband’s a farmer and also raises cattle.

She is a very good wife who in order to help her husband is taking out this loan so he can use it in his work. He works in agriculture and this is the time to take advantage of winter. Her husband with help from three people is preparing the soil to plant corn and rice since his land is apt for these types of crops. He also works selling milk in the morning. He milks his cows at dawn and then sells the milk throughout the location.

This loan is to buy seeds, fertilizer and insecticide in order to obtain a very good harvest. She’s been in the communal bank for six cycles and likes it because she can help her husband carry the heavy load their home is. Her dream is to give her family the best.
