A loan of $1,100 helped to buy undergarments, creams, perfumes, and cosmetics.

Lucila Angelita's story

The communal bank "San Pedro De Pueblo" meets every fifteen days in the Pueblo Nuevo del Cantón Santa Ana parish area, a place with honest people who are dedicated to work in the countryside and to livestock. It has beautiful country landscapes and kind people.

Lucila lives in this place. She is fifty years old, is married, and through this relationship, she has three children who are of age. One of her children still lives with her. Her husband is a farmer.

Lucila is a very good mother and wife and makes a living in trade. She sells undergarments through catalogs, as well as Avon and Yanbal products (perfumes, creams, imitation jewelry, and other items). Her form of selling is going door-to-door. Three days a week, she shows her magazine to clients and fills orders that are later paid by credit. She collects payments every eight days. She has been in this business for more than fifteen years and it is going very well.

This loan is to buy undergarments, creams, perfumes, and cosmetics. She has taken seven loans through this communal bank and likes it because the loans are quick and do not have many requirements.

Her dream is to continue with her business, since she loves what she does.
