A loan of $1,050 helped buy rice, sugar, beans, oil, bread, soap etc.

Yamileth's story

30-year old Yamileth was born in Matagalpa but now lives in Estelí. She is a single mother with two children aged 4 and 13 and earns her living running a general store. She started out selling dairy products and then gradually added other items. In this way she was able to earn more money and grow her business.

Yamileth feels happy because she has a daily income and regular customers. This is her first business. Her plan is to expand the store so she can offer all the products most asked for by her customers.

For this reason she is seeking a loan to buy rice, sugar, beans, oil, bread, soap etc. She thinks that this loan will help her to buy all the merchandise that at the moment she does not stock. Then her income will be greater and she will be able to expand the store.
