Jorge's story

Jorge, 23 years old, is a hard worker and entrepreneur who is eager to get ahead, He is single and lives with his mother, brother, brother-in-law and nephew. They are all settled comfortably in his mother's house. Jorge works selling fast-food like chicken, hotdogs and fries, rotisserie chicken and other fried foods. He has a fryer station installed in front of his mother’s house every night where he kindly attends to his clients. He started over two years ago with his mother’s support in food preparation and customer service. He considers his business profitable by the good wages he makes. He likes his business as it allows him to earn a livable wage and provides a job while is finishing his studies to be a computer technician. His profits pay for his studies, in addition to supporting his parents’ household expenses. Seeing his earnings, he is saving for the future to build his own computer repair business and become a professional. This is his third loan with the MFP institution. He is grateful for the financial support to realize his plans. In addition, he feels comfortable with his community bank as he knows the other members and considers them to be responsible. With the loan amount requested of 2500 new soles, he will invest in the purchase of utensils for his business such as plates, forks, tables, chairs and the like. Additionally, he will buy ingredients such as potatoes, chicken and vegetables that he plans to buy at wholesale prices.
