Al-Wafa'a Group's story

Al-Wafa'a is a group of four women from Al-Hodeida, Yemen. They have requested a 240.000 YER loan from AMB to purchase clothing, perfume and incense to resell.

Khadija, 29 years-old, is a single woman and the leader of the group. She is a secondary school graduate. She has been selling women's clothes, perfume and incense for about 7 years. She started up her business when her father supported her with part of his monthly salary. This allowed her to buy a small amount of clothing and perfume. Although she is still young, Khadija is very ambitious. She wants to buy more products and target new clients, so she has applied for a loan in the amount of 60.000YER . Khadija looks forward to improving her living conditions and open a saving account in the AMB.
