Al-Hanan Group's story

Al-Hanan group consists of four women from AL-Hodeida , Yemen. They asked for a loan of YER 170,000 to purchase a barbecue machine for chicken.

Aisha, 54 years old, is the leader of the group. She is illiterate. Aisha has been selling sweets in front of her house for more than 15 years. Now she has a cafeteria in a deaf-and-mute school. She sells sandwiches, sweets and soft drinks. She likes this business because she thinks it offers humanitarian assistance for these students.

Aisha doesn’t have enough money to buy products for her business, therefore she asked for a loan in the amount of YER 50,000 to buy products such as sandwiches, sweets and soft drinks. Aisha hopes that this would attract more clients and help her to earn more money.
