A loan of $500 helped to pay for additional stock of supplies and products needed in her business.

Pablita's story

This is Pablita. She previously accessed a 20,000 Philippine peso (PHP) loan that she used to buy RTW [Ready-To-Wear] products and merchandise items to expand her product inventory. Her earnings were a big help in their personal, household and business expenditures. Buy-and-sell has been her business for ten years now and it continues to grow. She and her husband are working hard to provide income for their family.

Pablita would like to apply for another 20,000 PHP loan to buy different products like belts, towels, umbrellas, flashlights, hammers and other products needed in her general merchandise store. Her profits from the business will definitely help her to meet their daily needs. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Pablita hopes to be able to expand her business in the coming years and draw her family more closely to God. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week and draws strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
