A loan of $500 helped to buy cheese, tortillas, onions, and sour cream.

Meylin Juniett's story

Meylin, 29 years old, is from La Paz Centro, in the municipality of León. She is single and has a high school education. She is the mother of three children, ages 1, 2, and 6 years old; only one is old enough to go to school. Meylin makes a living selling quesillos (a typical dish made with tortillas, cheese, and sour cream). She began working as a vendor when she was very young and looking for a way to earn money and help her family survive. When Meylin was 18 years old, she decided to sell quesillos, a business that would generate daily income.

This is Meylin's first business, and she expects to increase her sales so that she will earn more profits. She is requesting this loan in order to buy cheese, tortillas, onion, and sour cream to make her delicious quesillos. In this way, Meylin hopes to expand her business and provide better service. Her plan for the future is to continue increasing her sales. Her next goal is to improve the infrastructure of her house.
