A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase organic fertilizers for her corn crops, and also to purchase pea seeds.

Delfina's story

Delfina is 30 years old. She's married to Emilio and they have a son together. They live in a house of their own which is located in a rural district.
She displays a passive attitude, but she's a woman of great courage and strength. One of her biggest satisfactions is to see the results she gets when she sells her produce in the town of Tarma. In order to speed up her agricultural work, she hires day laborers whom she pays to till, harvest and carry the heavy sacks. The profits she obtains from selling her produce are average, and therefore she wishes to expand her crop and increase her earnings. That way she would be ensuring better living conditions for her family.
She trusts that the rains and the fertile soils will yield good results for the potato and pea crops that she intends to sow this month. She asks for your support in order to do that. This is her 12th loan with MFP. She's very thankful for the trust and so many years of work. In addition, she's a very punctual and responsible member of her communal bank "Lindo Amanecer de Cumutay" ("Beautiful Sunrise of Cumutay").
She will use the 2500 soles to purchase organic fertilizers for her corn crops, and to purchase pea seeds.
